The fourteen-day Covid-19 morbidity rate has dropped below 400 cases per 100,000 people, said for BTV Professor Todor Kantardzhiev, Director of the National Center of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases. Despite the positive trend, we have not yet emerged from the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, said Todor Kantardzhiev.

In his words, when a country passes the peak of Covid-19 morbidity, the mortality rate increases and the number of Covid-19 hospitalizations remains constant for another 2 or 3 weeks. There will be few cases of Covid-19 in Bulgaria later during the autumn, mainly local clusters of Covid-19 cases, predicts the health expert.
