Eco-activists organized a protest in front of parliament building calling for changes to the national recovery and resilience plan, for economic recovery after the Covid crisis that will be less damaging to the climate and the environment and will bring more benefits to the people. Representatives of Za Zemiata (For the Earth) environmental association and Greenpeace Bulgaria are demanding changes to the national recovery and resilience plan, particularly in the sphere of energy.

“The recovery and resilience plan is drafted and adapted in such a way as to continue to assist industries which have been polluting the environment and damaging human health,” said Balin Balinov from Greenpeace Bulgaria for the BNR.
