Boyko Borissov: I am giving up my seat as member of parliament

“I submitted an application to the Central Election Commission today  giving up my seat in the National Assembly from both multi-member constituencies where I was elected,” Prime Minister and GERB party leader Boyko Borissov announced on Facebook.

He writes further that at the elections he came out winner in the leaders’ contest with Kornelia Ninova (Bulgarian Socialist Party, Slavi Trifonov (There Is Such a People) and with Hristo Ivanov (Democratic Bulgaria).

“As prime minister I did not have immunity and I shall not need it now,” Boyko Borissov stated as he toured the region of Rila Monastery today.
