The Aleko Konstantinov Theatre of Satire is conferring the Golden Kukerikon awards for 2021 today, for achievements in humour and satire in Bulgarian theatre.
The Golden Kukerikon is an award conferred by the Theatre of Satire to colleagues from all over the country, without itself competing for the prize , BNR’s Hristo Botev channel reports.
An award for lifetime achievement named after actor Georgi Kaloyanchev will be awarded to Prof. Plamen Markov, director of the Aleko Konstantinov Teatre of Satire for many years, dean of the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts’ Faculty of Stage Arts and lecturer in acting and directing.
