Maria Bakalova misses out on a Screen Actors Guild Award

Minari star Yuh-Jung Youn won the award for best supporting actress at the Screen Actors Guild Awards(SAG Awards). She took the prestigious prize in competition with Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm), Glenn Close (Hillbilly Elegy), Olivia Colman (The Father) and Helena Zengel (News of the World).

Although Bulgaria’s actress Maria Bakalova missed out on a Screen Actors Guild Awards, she was nominated for the 2021 British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) and for an Oscar. Bakalova was nominated in the category Supporting Actress for her participation in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, reported BGNES.
