"I encourage both Sofia and Skopje to redouble their efforts to find a mutually acceptable solution to the pending bilateral issues", Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi said in the European Parliament during the discussion of the report on the progress of Skopje on its path towards EU accession.

“I encourage all parties to act in a constructive manner and to refrain from statements and actions that might undermine the EU’s wider interests. It is important that bilateral agreements, including the Prespa Agreement with Greece and the Treaty on Good Neighborly Relations with Bulgaria, continue to be implemented in good faith by all parties”, Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi said further.
