Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has inspected the construction of the Nova Provadia compressor station part of the Balkan Stream gas pipeline, which is the last stage in the implementation of the project for "Expansion of the gas transmission infrastructure from the Bulgarian-Turkish border to the Bulgarian-Serbian border", the government press service reported. Balkan Stream is expected to create real conditions for diversification.

"Thanks to our diplomacy, we were able to complete the large-scale Balkan Stream project. Bulgaria will be an unavoidable factor on the European gas map for decades to come and we will receive transit fees," the Prime Minister wrote on his Facebook page.
