The problem with vaccination conducted by GPs is in logistics, not in the willingness of doctors to vaccinate. This is what a survey among 15% of GPs, conducted by the National Association of General Practitioners in Bulgaria in the period March 12-15, shows. General Practitioners started participating in the vaccination process on February 22.
According to the poll, 73% of general practitioners called for delivery of 50-200 doses of vaccine, and 75% received 10-40 doses of vaccine. 97.7% of GPs were able to administer the AstraZeneca vector vaccine, while 65.8% of patients preferred the mRNA vaccine. Due to the long waiting, some patients decided to go to open vaccination centers. This way, a huge number of people cannot benefit from a quick and convenient vaccination.
