Ruse to host Dragon Boat World Championships in 2025

The competition organized by the International Canoe Federation will take place in the lake of Forest Park Lipnik near the city of Ruse located along the Danube River. More than 4,000 athletes are expected to participate at the dragon boat competition. More than 10,000 Bulgarian and foreign guests are to attend the event, announced the Municipality of Ruse.

Ruse is a city with long traditions in water sports. Sports activities such as canoeing, rowing, ship modeling, sport fishing, triathlon, etc, take place on the territory of Forest Park Lipnik located some 10 kilometers away from Ruse. The residents of Ruse use the locality not only for grassroots sport, but also for fishing and recreation. They also visit the forest park to watch the beautiful scenery.
