Highest number of hospitalizations since start of pandemic, almost 24% of tests return positive

4,201 is the number of new Covid-19 infections registered in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours or 23.8% of the 17,652 tests performed, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.

The highest number of new infections is, once again in Sofia - 1,097, followed by the regions of Varna - 305 and Burgas – 291 newly registered coronavirus cases.
7,804 is the number of coronavirus hospitalizations, 204 more than the previous day – a record high since the start of the pandemic. 609 are being treated in intensive care units.

1,641 is the number of recoveries in the past 24 hours, 136 have died. The number of active cases is 49,597,

4,708 people have been vaccinated in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of vaccinations to 350,702, the number of revaccinations is 63,752.
