Bulgaria's Stefka Kostadinova has been given a special section in the first 3D Museum of World Athletics launched by the World Athletics Association
Kostadinova, who is a world champion in the high jump discipline and currently the president of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee, is among the greatest stars in the history of athletics.

"At the World Championship in Rome in 1987, Stefka Kostadinova regained the supremacy with her 206 cm, forcing the former champion Tamara Bikova to try in her third attempt the impossible for her 208 cm. Left alone on the stage and having secured herself the gold, the Bulgarian jumper asked for the bar to be lifted to a record height of 209 cm, which she overcame at her second attempt", reads the section in the museum dedicated to the Bulgarian athlete.



Kostadinova's achievement remains unbeatable for 34 years now.
