PACE delegation visits Bulgaria before elections

A four-member delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), led by Alfred Heer, pays a two-day visit to Bulgaria on March 11 and 12th, 2021. The purpose of the visit is to assess election preparations and the campaign before the vote on April 4, BGNES reported.

In Sofia, the delegation will meet leaders and representatives of parliamentary and non-parliamentary parties, as well as the Bulgarian delegation to PACE. Talks with the chair and members of the Central Election Commission, as well as with election observers from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe will be held.

At the end of the visit, the delegation will present a declaration. A full PACE delegation will arrive in Bulgaria on election day, April 4.
