Bulgaria will restore inoculations according to national vaccination plan
The inoculations in the first four phases of the national vaccination plan will be restored probably tomorrow, the director of Pirogov hospital, Prof. Asen Baltov, told BNR. Green corridors will be resumed when larger quantities of vaccines arrive in the country, he added.
At first, the AstraZeneca vaccines, which are expected to arrive tonight, will be used.

Bulgaria's Social Minister: There will be vaccines for everyone
There will be vaccines against Covid-19 for everyone. 500,000 doses will arrive in March alone, Bulgaria's Social Affairs Minister Denitsa Sacheva announced on bTV. Equal quantities of the three vaccines approved in the European Union have been ordered, she explained.
There is no detention of delivered vaccines and the doses have already been administered, she said.
"The government has done everything necessary - it has signed contracts for vaccines, and the fact that they are delayed is a problem outside Bulgaria," Denitsa Sacheva said.
More than 1 million people receive support in various forms by the state because of the pandemic, she added.

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov: March will be a critical month
The fact that we are opening restaurants does not mean that everyone should go and get infected," Bulgarian PM Boyko Borissov said today during a visit to the town of Chirpan.  The Prime Minister stressed that he relies on the sense of self-preservation and intelligence of the Bulgarians.
The month of March will be critical, but in the spring it will be easier, the prime minister said.
Boyko Borissov also explained that arrangements were made for the vaccines, which are expected to arrive on Saturday night so they could be distributed in order to continue the vaccination. "We make a huge effort to transport them as fast as possible," he said.

Bulgaria registers slight drop in number of new infections
Bulgaria has registered a total of 1,681 new cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, with 13,697 tests performed, data of the National Coronavirus Information Portal show. 12% of the tests returned positive.
The highest number of newly infected people is in Sofia - 499, followed by Plovdiv - 150 and Pleven - 115. There are currently 4,502 patients in hospital as 378 of them are in intensive care units.
800 persons have been cured and 49 people have died in the past day.
There are 40 new cases of Covid-19 among medical professionals, bringing the total to 10,183.
Yesterday, 15,927 people were vaccinated. So far, 204,439 Covid-19 vaccines have been administered. The number of people inoculated with both doses is 37,181.

People who already had Covid-19 infection can be vaccinated with a single dose
It is still unclear when the green corridors for vaccination against coronavirus will work again, Prof. Todor Kantardzhiev, director of the National Centre for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases, told bTV. He described as a good decision that people could be immunized immediately.
According to the specialist, there is no danger that those who have received the first dose will be left without a second dose. However, if this happens, you should not worry, because the basic immunity is achieved with the first intake of the vaccine, and with the second increases by another 10-15%.
Prof. Todor Kantardzhiev also said that it is logical to claim that Covid-19 survivors should be vaccinated with only one dose.
