Gabrovo Municipality has cancelled the church and military ritual on Shipka Peak traditionally organized on Bulgaria's National Day March 3rd. The cancellation is at the request of the Chief State Sanitary Inspector Angel Kunchev, referring to the increase in the number of newly registered cases of Covid-19 in the country, BTA reported.

The gathering of a large number of people from different parts of Bulgaria hides the risk of spreading Covid-19 and therefore the holding of organized celebrations is inexpedient, Kunchev said.

Gabrovo municipality announced that it would cancel the planned church and military ritual on March 3rd on Shipka Peak and the bus transport organized for the citizens. The temporary organization of traffic by the traffic police is maintained.
