458 million euros from the Rural Development Program will be directed for investments and support measures for young farmers and small farms, BNR’s Horizont program has reported. Investment projects for the farms will have maximum costs of up to 1 million euros, half of which will be EU funds, as well 1.5 million euros when aid intensity was 35%.

Projects for processing of agricultural products will have a ceiling of 2 million euros at 50% intensity and 3 million with 35% share of European money. The requirement for priority of projects for rural areas has been dropped, as the goal is to focus financing on organic production, irrigation and introduction of new technologies in agriculture.
