“Workplace accidents while working from home are to be regulated by legislative amendments,” Minister of Labour and Social Policy Denitsa Sacheva said during question time in parliament today.
“Employers and trade unions are insisting that there be rules for remote work, they ask questions like: what happens if you fall in your home office, is it a work accident or not,” Minister Sacheva said.
Besides healthy and safe working conditions, the legislative amendments will also regulate the right to disconnect from work out of hours which has already been recognized by the European Parliament.
