Bulgarian pupils to undergo initial military training

Pupils from 8th to 10th grade from 2,000 Bulgarian schools will be able to undergo initial military training under a new national programme which begins next school year. The programme was uploaded for public discussion on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science and its budget is estimated at EUR 250,000.

The programme is divided into two modules. The first one is dedicated to the history of the Bulgarian Armed Forces. The military training will take place at the Vasil Levski National Military University in the town of Veliko Tarnovo. 33 teams nominated from schools from all Bulgarian districts are to participate at the training. Each team will consist of ten members, Trud daily informs.
