Bad weather has led to closing of 3 border checkpoints, Daniel Ivanichkov of the Road Infrastructure Agency has told BNT. The checkpoints at the Greek border "Kulata" and "Ilinden" are closed. Traffic was also stopped at Gueshevo on the border with North Macedonia. This created difficulties in cleaning the roads in the area of the border checkpoints, because the heavy traffic was waiting on Bulgarian territory. The queue of trucks at Kulata is about 3 kilometers long

Roads in the country are passable in winter conditions. The situation on highways and first class roads is quite normal. There are restrictions on the movement of trucks over 12 tons through the passes of Prevala, Pechinsko and Rozhen.
