After a long testing period, the system for electronic services of the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is soon to be operational. It would allow Bulgarian citizens to apply for ID cards and passports online, Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva said in an interview with "24 Chasa" newspaper.
Summarizing her mandate, Zaharieva has recalled that 4 years ago payments for administrative services in the ministry were made only through revenue stamps. Today in all services in Bulgaria and abroad electronic terminals are used for payment, the minister says. For the convenience of citizens, apostille services are already available in all 28 regional centers in the country and not only in the capital city, as it was 4 years ago.
