Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Krasimir Karakachanov stated that after the accession of the Republic of North Macedonia to NATO the good neighbor agreement between the two countries is, to all intents and purposes dead.
“All contacts were terminated, unilaterally, by them. I have said this many times – don’t cling to the hope that with any change in the political situation in Bulgaria, whoever may come to power will cut them some slack. No one is going to yield to you. I sometimes get confused – who is the candidate for the EU, because Skopje presumes to lecture Europe,” Krasimir Karakachanov said.
Minister Karakachanov made this statement in front of the monument to Gotse Delchev in Sofia, during the celebrations of the 149th anniversary of the birth of the revolutionary and fighter for national unification, BTA reports.
