The first designated sledding run on Vitosha Mountain near Sofia opens this Saturday, January 23, as part of the Vitosha Winter Festival 2021. The event is in the framework of the initiative "Sofia - European Capital of Sport".

The run near the Aleko Hut will be opened with a family race. Residents of Sofia have been sledding in the mountain for years, but there was no specially designated place for this activity. Registration is from 10.00 to 10.45 on the day of the festival in front of Aleko Hut. Participants use their own sleds and the race starts at 11.00.
