Bulgaria’s capital Sofia is among the 50 most instagrammable places in the world-2021. The ranking was made by Big 7 Travel following an analysis of hashtags in Instagram related to world destinations. Japan’s capital Tokyo occupies the top position in the ranking. Sofia places 46th, after Greece’s capital Athens and Phuket, Thailand.

Easily one of Europe’s most funky and trendy capitals, Sofia is a hit among instagrammers. Whether you photograph the serenity that surrounds cathedral Alexander Nevsky, the countless vintage trams that weave through the city, or hit up the Ivan Vazov Theater, there will be plenty of incredible insta-ops along the way, Big 7 Travel writes.
