Resuming the operation of restaurants and food establishments in February, with limited capacity used and limited working hours, has been discussed by industry and government officials. No agreement has been reached on the date of opening of establishments.

"If the decision of the headquarters and the government, which is expected on Thursday did not correspond to our demands, we would move to strike action", the Bulgarian Association of Establishments and the Association of Restaurants in Bulgaria said. They call for the opening of restaurants and coffee clubs on February 1, 2021, under the conditions that were in force before their closure, as well as for opening of nightclubs without restrictions on working hours on March 1.
