Bulgaria’s Minister of Health Professor Kostadin Angelov presented the certificate of vaccination against COVID-19. Every inoculated person possessing an electronic signature can receive their electronic certificate and have access to their medical record, Minister Angelov pointed out.

Citizens without an electronic signature will be able to request the certificate through their general practitioner from February 1. "The certificate does not have a stamp or signature and is generated by the system automatically. A QR code allows users to enter the system. Several levels of security protect the certificate from possible abuse. It can be checked by any control authority in Bulgaria and abroad”, Minister Angelov further explained. Professor Angelov has assured that it is impossible to manipulate the e-document. The electronic system will be upgraded by end March. Referrals for all outpatient care procedures will be issued through an electronic health record, Minister Kostadin Angelov added.

"The medical record contains different sections- general practitioner, medical examinations, electronic prescriptions, medical expertise, inoculations," explained Ivaylo Filipov, CEO at Information Services Plc, BTA reported.
