Six formations would enter parliament if elections were now: Alpha Research

If parliamentary elections were to be held at the beginning of 2021 the ruling GERB party would win 24.3% of the votes, indicates a survey by Alpha Research sociological agency. The Bulgarian Socialist Party would win 21.9%, followed by “There are such people” of showman Slavi Trifonov with 10.2% of the votes, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms – with 7.2%, Democratic Bulgaria - with 6.1%, and Maya Manolova’s Izpravi Se.BG (Stand Up.BG) - with 4.9% of the votes.

49.6% of the respondents say they will go to the polls, which is 10% down compared to September 2020. 28% are hesitant, and 22% say they will not vote. Covid-19 is the reason why 43% of Bulgarians say they will think twice before going to the polls. 42% are of the opinion that the elections must take place as soon as practicable. 43% expect a coalition government, 27% want a coalition with GERB, as many want a coalition with the Bulgarian Socialist Party.
