165 Bulgarian military personnel are taking part in operatins abroad

Minister of Defence Krasimir Karakachanov and Chief of Defence Admiral Emil Eftimov extended holiday greetings to the Bulgarian military contingents taking part in operations and missions in Afghanistan, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Mali, the Ministry of Defence press service has announced.

At this time there are 165 Bulgarian military personnel taking part in 4 NATO operations and 5 EU operations abroad. Minister Karakachanov stated that 233 members of the military personnel, or under 2% of the entire armed forces personnel are infected with Covid-19. 7 of them are undergoing treatment in hospital, the BTA reports.
