Investigation against PM Borissov dropped

The specialized prosecutor’s office has shut down the investigation into audio recordings, released to the media, of a voice resembling that of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, the prosecutor’s office has announced.

The supervising prosecutor states that he will not be initiating proceedings, because there is insufficient evidence that a general crime has been committed.

PM Boyko Borissov, Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev, former Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov, former Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov and another 3 officials have been questioned. No interference by the prime minister whatsoever in the work of state structures has been ascertained. No conversations have been ascertained between Boyko Borissov and the prime ministers of Bavaria, Poland and Hungary, BTA reports.
