Journalists demand punishment for MEP over intolerable behavior

The Association of European Journalists Bulgaria sent an open letter to the Leader of the European People's Party in the European Parliament Manfred Weber, demanding punishment for MEP Alexander Yordanov for his “intolerable behavior during an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio journalist Silvia Velikova”. Yordanov is an MEP from the GERB-SDS coalition.

“Apparently annoyed by the questions Silvia Velikova asked him during her talk show on December 6, MEP Yordanov wrote a publication on Facebook, we consider extremely inappropriate. It is well known that the main job of the reporters is to ask questions and the politicians are entitled to provide them with answers”, the Association of European Journalists Bulgaria further wrote.
