“We made preparations quickly and once the Covid-19 vaccine is here, the vaccination will be organized, only voluntarily and free of charge, using vaccines approved by the European Commission and guaranteed by the European Medicines Agency,” said Prime Minister Boyko Borissov today during a visit to the National Centre of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases in Sofia.

He made an inspection of the country’s readiness to store the vaccines in specialized refrigerators as they are delivered, the government press service has announced. Work on organizing the vaccination process locally is set to begin on Monday.

Minister of Health Kostadin Angelov stated that the first consignment is expected to contain 125,000 vaccines.
