Bulgaria's Deputy Prime Minister Krasimir Karakachanov has greeted the Prime Minister of North Macedonia Zoran Zaev for the position stated in his interview for BGNES agency yesterday and pointed out that if things kept moging in this direction, next year we could talk about starting the negotiation process for North Macedonia's accession to the EU.
At the National Military University in Veliko Tarnovo, where the 142nd anniversary since the start of military education in Bulgaria was marked, Karakachanov said that Bulgaria insists that the EU treaty with North Macedonia should make it clear that Bulgaria could suspend the negotiation process at any time when the agreement between Bulgaria and North Macedonia was not implemented. He also insisted that the position declared by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev to Bulgaria should go beyond the form of a declaration and a media interview and become an interstate document, BNR reported.
