Two second-hand minesweepers become part of Bulgaria’s fleet

Bulgaria’s fleet is to acquire two second-hand minesweepers named Struma and Mesta, this country’s Ministry of Defense announced.

One year ago, Bulgaria bought the forty-year-old vessels from the Netherlands for EUR 2 million. The minesweepers will be sanctified on Wednesday. They were used by the Dutch Navy until 2011, BNR reporter Dobromir Videv announced.
