President Rumen Radev has presented the Badge of Honor of the head of state to folk singer and music pedagogue Tsvetanka Varimezova. She has been on the stage for 40 years and has participated in over 2,000 concerts. She has been teaching Bulgarian folklore at the University of California, Los Angeles for nearly 20 years.
Mrs. Varimezova is among the most talented and zealous defenders of the Bulgarian music tradition and culture. She has dedicated her professional and life path to a significant cause - to reveal the timeless, authentic, enormous treasure of Bulgarian folklore, President Radev said.
