Lower share of PCR tests returns positive over past 24 hours

83 is the number of newly registered Covid-19 cases, or 6.97% of the 1,191 PCR tests performed in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours. This is an appreciably lower percentage compared to the almost 12% positive results reported on Sunday, Single Information Portal data show.

Again, the highest number of newly registered cases is in Sofia - 50, followed by Blagoevgrad – 6, and Montana– with 5 new cases.

One person has died over the past 24 hours, and 29 have recovered. 1,205 patients are in hospital, 62 or 5.15 % of them are in intensive care.

The number of active coronavirus cases in the country is 7,663.
