“The European Parliament resolution on rule of law in this country comes in defence of Bulgaria and is a huge success for all Bulgarians,” said MEP Elena Yoncheva for the BNR.

“The document voted recognizes as legitimate the demands of the people who have been protesting for three months and states the need of having an independent investigation and of achieving results in the fight against corruption,” Elena Yoncheva said, and added that what the resolution does is make a list of all the things PM Boyko Borisssov and his government have been doing in the past 10 years.

Elena Yoncheva stated further that at a time when Brussels is dealing the most resounding blow to GERB, the party, along with the nationalists, is trying to shift the focus of the document from the main issue.
