It is in the interest of Bulgaria and North Macedonia to find a solution to the issues that provoke disagreements, EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi said at a joint news conference with Prime Minister Zoran Zaev in Skopje.

Várhelyi added that if the two sides did not reach agreement, it would be very difficult to move forward, and pointed out that now was the time to reach such an agreement.

I see commitment on the part of Zaev and the Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and I hope that they will be able to find a solution, and as far as I know, they are working on it, the European Commissioner added, BTA reported.

North Macedonia Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani arrives on a visit to Sofia on October 9th.
