Bulgarian President awards Order of Madara Horseman to Ambassador of Ireland

Bulgarian head of state Rumen Radev has awarded the Order of the Madara Horseman - first degree to Ambassador of Ireland to Bulgaria, Michael Forbes. The President pointed out Ambassador Forbes' personal contribution to the dynamic development of relations between Bulgaria and Ireland.

"Ireland is a valuable partner within the EU, the UN and other international organizations. During your term in office, you have established excellent relations with Bulgarian institutions, with representatives of business, education, science and civic society," the President said.

The 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Ireland is marked this year, Mira Stefanova has reported.
