Prime Minister Boyko Borissov congratulated the new mayors from GERB party on their success at the by-elections.

“This is a token of the trust in us and of people’s expectations,” he said after the meeting and added that in the budget for 2021 the focus would be on small towns and villages.

“For the cities we have given billions. But there are many people living in small towns and villages as well, many children. We shall build kindergartens, schools wherever there are none.  We have already built so many kilometres of roads, there are new factories everywhere, sports halls, playgrounds, sewage treatment plants. That is the way to keep people from emigrating,” Boyko Borissov said.

The video from the meeting has been posted to his Facebook page.
