In the conditions of the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, the economic measures must continue, Kristalina Georgieva, executive director of the IMF, told the Bulgarian National Television. It is very important that those who make decisions about measures to support the economy and support people are to continue them, she said.

Many countries are faced with the dilemma of whether to continue these measures. Our call is not to stop them. If they stop, we risk mass bankruptcies, unemployment and loss of what has been achieved in recent decades, said the IMF chief.
The assessment of Bulgaria by the IMF is the best possible, the country does not need our financial support because it is stable,  Georgieva added.
