Victoria Tomova with a victory at Roland Garros

Victoria Tomova, placed №12 in the Roland Garros qualifiers, has reached the second round after a two-set success. Bulgaria’s player won against Hungarian Réka Luca Jani with 7: 5, 6: 4 after an hour and a half of playing. This way, the 25-year-old tennis player recorded her second victory at the Grand Slam tournament in Paris after winning a match in 2018.

With today's victory, Victoria Tomova secured eight points for the world rankings, where she is №133, as well as 16 thousand euros from the prize fund. Her next opponent will be Renata Zarazúa from Mexico, who is 178th in the rankings.
