Bulgaria to boost commitment to NATO’s missions in Black Sea and Kosovo

Admiral Emil Eftimov

Bulgaria is to increase its commitment to the NATO operations in Kosovo in view of the ongoing transformation of NATO’s mission in Afghanistan, this country’s Chief of Defense Admiral Emil Eftimov told the NATO Military Committee during a video-conference meeting.

Security and stability in the Black Sea region and the Western Balkans are of great importance for Bulgaria, Admiral Eftimov pointed out. Bulgaria is ready to host the NATO regional coordination function in the Black Sea, Admiral Eftimov added.
