Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said he respected the protesters, but added there were also provocateurs at the protests.
"It is indisputable that these provocateurs who threw firecrackers (at the large-scale protest on September 2) were paid. A distinction must be made between one and the other. I respect the ones and dislike the others." This was stated by the Prime Minister during the consecration of new buildings of the monastery "St. John the Forerunner" in the town of Kardzhali, Southern Bulgaria.
A few days ago, Borissov said that at the moment the mafia wanted to overthrow the government. "Gambling, smuggling, everyone is against us on the street," the then prime minister said.
