Residents of the Danube city of Ruse blocked traffic near Danube Bridge border crossing at the Bulgaria-Romania border. Protesters demand the resignations of Premier Boyko Borissov and prosecutor General Ivan Geshev. They are also protesting against air pollution in the city. Traffic will remain blocked until 8 pm, the demonstrators warned. Drivers can use alternative routes, reporters of BNT inform.

The Grand National Uprising 2 in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia has been continuing throughout the whole day. The antigovernment protest is passing peacefully and under enhanced security measures.

The participants at the traditional evening protest are gathering downtown Sofia.

A survey of Trend sociological agency shows that despite the ongoing protests, the ruling GERB party remains first political force.
