Participants from Plovdiv and from all over the country will join the 64th day of anti-government protests in Sofia, the organizers of today’s protest dubbed “Grand National Uprising-2” from the so-called “toxic trio” said for the BNR.

Law enforcement is putting in place reinforced security measures so as to avoid any provocations of the kind which led to clashes on 2 September, the day of the first “Grand National Uprising”. Check points have been put in place where people wanting to take part in the protest will be checked.

BNR’s reporter in the centre of Sofia reported that the gendarmerie have already seized a number of dangerous articles. The City Garden is being searched for concealed bottles with incendiary substances.

After last night’s protest, protesters put up an improvised first aid station for people sprayed with tear gas, BNR reports.
