The Bulgarian, for whom this is the first tournament after more than three years of absence, won against number 10 Garbiñe Muguruza (Spain) with 7: 5, 6: 3 for 84 minutes. The 32-year-old player from Plovdiv recorded her second victory in professional tennis since July 2017 at Wimbledon.
