New easing of measures against Covid-19 in force in Bulgaria

Three documents, signed by the Minister of Health Prof. Kostadin Angelov on August 31, introduced lighter measures in Bulgaria from September 1. The orders regulate the trips to Bulgaria, as well as organization of the work and study process in our country.

Arrivals from Turkey, Serbia and Belarus not required to present PCR tests.

Persons who arrive from Turkey, Serbia and Belarus are allowed to enter the territory of Bulgaria without presenting negative PCR test for Covid-19.

Greece not lifting requirement for negative PCR test for tourists

Authorities in Greece have extended all current requirements for tourists who want to enter the country until September 15th . People arriving with flights from Bulgaria, Romania, Malta and Spain must present a declaration and a negative PCR test for coronavirus.

Czech tourists travel to Bulgaria without PCR test and quarantine

The solution marks great progress and will help the activities of tour operators Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Mariana Nikolova, said. Bulgaria is a preferred destination for family holidays by Czech tourists. In 2019 the total number of visits from this country exceeded 189,000.

Bulgaria reports 76 news cases of Covid-19 and 170 recoveries in past 24 hours

76 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 4,330 PCR tests performed, data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal show.The total number of Covid-19 cases in Bulgaria has reached 16,266. There are 4,154 active cases. 170 people have recovered from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, thus bringing the total number of Covid-19 recoveries to 11,483. A total of 727 patients are receiving medical treatment in hospitals, 65 of whom in intensive care units. 16 people have died of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. The total coronavirus death toll rose to 629 people.

Bulgaria to initiate debate on control of EU internal borders in situation of pandemic

Bulgaria is to initiate a debate in the EU on the adoption of single criteria for control of the internal borders during the coronavirus pandemic, Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva has announced during the traditional meeting with Bulgarian ambassadors. Minister Zaharieva called on the Bulgarian ambassadors abroad to work towards the fulfillment of this task. The EU managed to introduce criteria for third countries. Meanwhile, there are no criteria for internal borders within the Union, Minister Zaharieva said. According to her, the single rules for control of the EU internal borders must be clear and public both for citizens and business, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
