Bulgarian students win 4 medals at International Biology Olympiad

Bulgarian students have won 4 bronze medals at the 31st International Biology Olympiad (IBO 2020), which took place remotely on August 11th and 12th. The Bulgarian youngsters competed with over 280 participants from 70 countries.

For the third year in a row, all members of the Bulgarian team won medals at the most prestigious international biology competition. The medalists are Kiril Toshev, Dimitar Kutrovski and Nikola Dimitrov from 12th grade and Viktor Gilin from 11th grade.

The team leaders are Assoc. Prof. Albena Yordanova from the Faculty of Medicine, Assoc. Prof. Snezhana Tomova-Gogova from the Faculty of Biology at Sofia University and Dr. Radoslav Alexandrov from the Institute of Molecular Biology.
