Three key intersections in Sofia remain blocked on the 43rd day of protests. Protesters are demanding the resignation of Bulgaria’s cabinet and this country’s Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev, as well as machine voting. The participants at the traditional evening protest are gathering at Independence square.

Meanwhile, more than 5,000 residents of Sofia signed a petition demanding the removal of illegal blockades. Some of them gathered to protest in front of the building of Sofia Directorate of the Ministry of Interior.

Earlier today, protesters blocked the building of the anticorruption commission. They wanted to meet with the commission’s chairman Sotir Tsatsarov, but this meeting did not take place.

“Yes, Bulgaria” party requested the opening of the personal files of Bulgaria’s transition period. A protest led by this country’s former MEP Nikolai Barekov was held in front of the office of “Yes, Bulgaria”. Barekov wanted to know how this political party was financed, reporters of BNR inform.

Another big protest is scheduled for this evening in the city of Plovdiv. Professor Velislav Minekov from the so-called "Toxic Trio" is expected to attend the protest in Plovdiv, BNR-Plovdiv informs.

The campsite in the coastal city of Varna remains. A protest rally under the motto “Eggs for Mareshki” is expected to take place in this city today.
