The ruling GERB party and the main opposition party BSP are losing from the protests in July. More than half of Bulgarians give a negative assessment of the cabinet, and half give a negative assessment of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov (49.3%), a poll by Alpha Research shows.

Early elections are seen as a way out of the crisis by 39.7% of Bulgarians and 40% believe that a consensus should be sought between the parties until the regular elections in 2021.
If the elections were held now, the parliament would be comprised of members of 6 or 7 party. GERB would win 14.5% of the vote, BSP - 10.4%, "There is such a people" of the showman Slavi Trifonov - 10.2%, Democratic Bulgaria - 6.7%, "Izpravi se  BG" - 6.7% , MRF - 4.5% and the United Patriots - 2.2%.
