Again heavy traffic at Kulata-Promachonas border crossing towards Greece

Photo: BNR listener

Traffic at Kulata-Promachonas border check point with Greece is again very heavy.

The line of cars waiting to cross over into Greece, which formed at the border crossing early this morning, is 5 kilometres long, border police report. Most of the vehicles are Bulgarian and Romanian. The mass testing for Covid-19 continues even though every person entering Greece is obligated to show a negative PCR test.

There is a high likelihood of a tightening of the restrictive measures for incoming Bulgarian and Romanian tourists because of the coronavirus levels in the two countries.

Around 2% of Bulgarians and Romanians have chosen to spend their summer holidays in Greece.
