Loans totaling more than 4 billion euros are temporarily under a moratorium due to the Covid-19 crisis. Most of the deferred liabilities belong to companies. EUR 850 million are present in the accounts of individuals, the Bulgarian National Bank announced.

The total number of applications for changes in the repayment plans or their complete suspension for a certain period is over 100,000 for 5 billion euros, but not all of them received a positive answer. Despite the moratoriums, the profit of the banking system for the first half of the year is over 250 million euros, compared to 450 million euros for the same period in 2019.
